Monster Enhancement

You set Enhancement from +0 to +4 yourself: monsters become tougher, but drop and trophies grow. It opens after the third profession, and the maximum level depends on the open grade.

In short

  • On +0 the world is regular. From +1 to +4 monsters are tougher and the reward is bigger. In farm zones marked "With enhancement" the special drop (materials for the gear of the open grade) falls only from enhanced monsters. In the old lands monsters are simply tougher.
  • The higher the Enhancement, the bigger the reward: a chance of extra drop and trophies, including the grade Essence.
  • Enhancement opens after the third profession. S1-S4 are the weeks of the season: S1 opens the Dynasty grade, S2 Moirai, S3 Vesper, S4 Legendary. The Enhancement level is not above the open grade: +1 from S1, +2 from S2, +3 from S3, +4 from S4.
  • It works in manual combat, in auto farm and in offline farm.

How to set it

  • The "Enhance" strip under the HP window. Click the bar to pick the level, its 4 cells show the current level. The icon on the left turns Enhancement off and on: off sets +0, on brings back the previous level. While Enhancement is on, a glint runs around the icon frame.
  • The Enhancement window has a "Season monsters: yes / no" switch, set to "yes" from the start. "Yes": in the farm zones marked "With enhancement" an enhanced monster gets grade stats and the special farm zone drop. "No": the monster stays regular, only tougher, as in the old lands.
  • The strip appears after the third profession. A right click on the strip hides it, and only the .enhance ui command brings it back.
  • You can change the level no more than once every 2 seconds.

How it works

  • Your first hit on a monster with full HP sets its Enhancement. The monster stays enhanced while you hit it. After 3 minutes without your hits the Enhancement is removed.
  • You cannot change the Enhancement of a monster another player is already hitting. Changing your level does not change monsters that are already enhanced.
  • In a party the lowest Enhancement among the players nearby applies. If a player with +0 or with "Season monsters: no" is nearby, the monster stays regular.
  • Auto farm and offline farm keep the chosen Enhancement while the character kills monsters. After 3 minutes without kills the Enhancement resets to +0, you can restore it on the "Enhance" strip.
  • Raid bosses and their minions, monsters in instances, quest and event monsters and Eternity Tower monsters are not enhanced. In Survival the Enhancement is always +0.

What changes

EnhancementOld lands: HP and defenseOld lands: attackFarm zones: HPFarm zones: attackExtra drop chance
+1x2x1.25x2x1.225%
+2x4x1.5x3x1.450%
+3x8x1.75x4x1.675%
+4x16x2x5x1.8100%
Old lands: regular world monsters, including farm zones with "Season monsters: no". Farm zones: farm zone monsters with the special drop (Alt+B, Teleport, "Farm zones"), they do not get more defense.

Reward and champions

  • Extra drop chance: one more drop of Adena, regular drop and spoil with a 25% chance per Enhancement level.
  • Trophies: rare drop from enhanced monsters. The main trophy is Essence, and its grade equals the Enhancement level: +1 gives Essence: Dynasty, +2 Moirai, +3 Vesper, +4 Legendary. Essence and, rarely, grade enchant scrolls drop in farm zones and from monsters of levels 76-78 in the old lands. Monsters of levels 20-78 in the old lands also drop old world Blessed scrolls (Blessed S from levels 76-78), and there are other trophies too.
  • The special farm zone drop (materials for the gear of the open grade, Stone of Reborn, the resource of the week) falls only from enhanced monsters in zones marked "With enhancement", so people go there for materials with Enhancement +1 or higher.
  • You get the reward only if you and your whole party are not more than 9 levels above the monster.
  • Trophies have a daily maximum per computer: a day runs from 18:30 Moscow time (UTC+3). Essence fills the count. After the first daily quota the chance of most trophies is x0.5, after the second x0.2.

Champions. The chance of a champion does not depend on Enhancement. A regular monster of level 76 and above becomes a blue champion with a 0.4% chance when it spawns and a red one with a 0.1% chance. Raid bosses, their minions and season monsters in farm zones are never champions. A champion is tougher than a regular monster and gives more drop, Adena and spoil. Champions drop Stone of Reborn and L-Coin, red ones also Honor Coin.

Questions

Why can I not set Enhancement?

Monster Enhancement opens after the third profession. You cannot set it above the open grade: for example +4 opens from S4 (Legendary). You can change the level no more than once every 2 seconds.

Why did my Enhancement become +0?

In auto farm and offline farm this happens after 3 minutes without kills. Restore the level on the "Enhance" strip under the HP window. In Survival the Enhancement is always +0.

Does Enhancement work on bosses?

No. Field raid bosses and altar bosses have their own difficulty, you pick it when you summon them.

Why was the monster not enhanced?

Enhancement is set by the first hit on a monster with full HP. If another player already hit the monster, or a player with +0 is nearby in your party, the monster stays regular.

Do I need Enhancement for farm zone materials?

In zones marked "With enhancement" yes: the special drop falls there only from enhanced monsters, from Enhancement +1 and with "Season monsters: yes". In the other farm zones it falls on +0 too. The zone list is in Alt+B, Teleport, "Farm zones".

Where did the Enhance strip go?

A right click on the strip hides it. Only the .enhance ui command brings it back.
